This was AMAZING! I seriously don’t understand why this game has not been made into a movie yet! If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the link
I loved the cinematography, but the acting was average to poor, in my opinion, and the story was pretty much ripped from the comic, and didn’t attempt to make give itself its own identity. Whoever portrayed Doug didn’t seem very invested, and seemed to foam in his performance (Prime example: His freak-out in the bowels of Aperature, when he was having a breakdown). And the cube… really…? That was so poorly handled. Granted, I like that they stylized it, but otherwise, grrr. When he drops the box in Act III, they don’t even ATTEMPT to mask that it’s a cardboard box. They could’ve edited in a sound effect to make the noise the game makes when a box drops. Again, the sets and cinematography are gorgeous, and the way it ties into the beginning of Portal 2 is all the more awesome, but otherwise, I think I’ll stick with “Outside Aperature” and “Portal: No Escape.” Those films had much better acting, with equal cinematography. I can see the effort put in by the tech crew, but everyone else just seems to want to get thsi done and over with, which really doesn’t make me want to invest my time.
Jake sat on the step outside the tree house with his head resting in the palms of his hands. He had a sad, or more perplexed look on his face. The orange-ish yellow dog let out a heavy sigh, and continued to look at the ground.

“Hay bubblegum.” Jake huffed, and continued to look at the ground for a bit. Kicking small rocks, but not hitting your feet. “Did you want to see Finn?” He was to preoccupied to hear you ask him what was wrong, and stood up to go get Finn.
As much as Bubblegum wanted to see the young hero, she couldn’t deny Jake of some comfort. She stopped him.
“No, wait, Jake.” She started. “I’d like to talk to you first. Come lay down on my lap and we can talk.” Bubblegum smiled, keeping her voice warm and happy.
Jake stopped, turned and walked over to the princess. Then with one big heavy sigh her plopped down into her lap. He didn’t know how to go about telling her what was wrong, but decided to try anyways. “Well…” He couldn’t find the words. “You know how, me and the rainacorn went splits a few months ago?”
Bubblegum frowned. She remembered, all too painfully. She didn’t even want to think about it.
“I remember, puppy.” She said, as she stroked Jake’s back, to make the glum dog feel better.
The puppy sat up. “Well its not that.” His tail started wagging. “Its CAKE!” His head plopped back down onto her lap. “Shes one smokin’ kitty. ME-ow” Then he sighed. “but she doesn’t live in our world…She lives in another dimension.”
Bubblegum paused and slowly streaked the plump dog’s back.
“Oh… I see…” She said. She had no words for this turn of events. “But isn’t Cake, by extension, yourself?”

Princess Bubblegum held a vial in her hand, approaching the treehouse. She had something she wanted to talk to Finn about. Before she could, she noticed the tiny dog on the ground. She crouched down.
“Hey, puppy. What’s the matter?”
I’m serious…I’m keeping the jacket.
